Hello everyone! After graduation, I decided to give the college thing a try.....didn't work real well. So I decided to stay around town for a couple of years. In 1992, after realizing that things were never going to change, I decided to join the Army. I had visions of going to Germany and Europe and all those other places people never really get around to going to. Big mistake! I ended up spending my entire 5 year enlistment at Ft. Belvoir, Va....5 hours from home. I got married in 1992 and had a beautiful daughter in 1995. having been through Airborne and Air Assault school, I quickly got bored of directing traffic and saluting generals wives, so I opted to go to K-9 school. That was the best decision I ever made. Unfortunately, after 2 knee surgeries, I didn't want to do the Army thing anymore, and when my enlistment was up, the family and I moved to Birmingham, Alabama at the urging of some family friends. While in Alabama, I worked for 4 years as a paramedic supervisor. My wife decided that being married to a medic was worse than being married to a soldier, so we called it quits in 1999. I then moved back to Maryland and went back into law enforcment for the federal government. In 2004, I had the opportunity to go back to work for the Department of the Army as a civilian dog handler, and that brought me here to beautiful Ft. Hood, Texas. With luck, I will never have to scrape my windsheild again! I hope everyone is doing well, and I look foward to seeing all of you next summer. My sister still lives in town.
